It looks you did not mention negative environmental impacts related to buying non local products. Transportation of goods is in fact associated with pollution because of vehicle emissions. Buying local goods it could be a more environmentally sustainable practice (it depends also on other factors, e.g. if local manufacturers choose local suppliers, how the manage wastes, etc.).
