Without trade and MNC coming to SG to open their office (Tapping on our rather hardworking labor force), I don’t believe we will be able to realize some form of technology and experience transfer which had made me who I am today.

It’s so true that while it gives us access to amazing products and ideas, it also contributes to inequalities that we can’t just ignore. The point about how globalization can leave local cultures in the dust really hit home. Like, we see it happening in our hawker culture, where global brands sometimes overshadow our local gems.
So here’s a thought—do you reckon there’s a way to balance embracing global trends while also protecting and celebrating our local identities? Asking ‘cause I feel like it’s a struggle we face every day, especially with young people scrolling through so much content from abroad. Would love to hear your take!
