One reply to “Why you NEED to talk about money before marriage”
Great post! It’s super relevant and spot on about how talking money before marriage isn’t just about the numbers, but really about understanding each other’s values and attitudes towards finances. I love how you highlighted that money can be a major stressor in relationships, and having those conversations early can really save a lot of heartache later on.
It got me thinking, how do you think our upbringing plays a role in how we handle money in relationships? Like, for many of us in Singapore, we grew up in households where money was not openly discussed. So do you reckon that makes it harder for millennials to have these chats or are we just more open to it being a new generation?
I ask this because I feel like each generation has its quirks, and understanding that could help us communicate better and avoid the awkwardness. What do you all think?
