One reply to “Why in the hell does eggs benedict cost $26?

  1. Great post! I totally vibe with the breakdown of how Eggs Benedict can skyrocket to $26. It’s wild to think about the cost of ingredients, labor, and overhead that go into such a seemingly simple dish. The way you highlighted the inflated prices due to brunch culture and how it’s more of a ‘lifestyle’ choice really hits home.

So here’s a thought: considering the insane prices for brunch nowadays, do you think we should just skip all that and make our own versions at home? I mean, with the amount we’re spending, we could throw a proper brunch party for our mates with gourmet eggs benedict!

I ask this because it seems like the rising costs are pushing us towards finding more value in cooking ourselves. Plus, it would be sick to flex our cooking skills on Instagram instead of dropping mad cash for a plate! What do you think?
