  1. From my experience, I always find at least one issue with every places that I worked that made me think ‘Ok, this is this company’s vice.’. Nowdays I expect it as a company’s necessary evil. Incompetent and/or micromanaging boss, stingy management, overworked and underpaid employees, unpaid overtime, overly competitive culture, you name it, I probably saw it. Even had a case when someone I personally knew died due to mismanagement.

I’ve come to realize that, as a autistic person, no one work environment will ever be perfect for me, either I accept it or I die without money. Work is just for money, and for that I will have to give up my time and sanity.

  2. Wow, this article really hits home! I totally feel you about the toxic work environments that can drain the life out of you. The way you described the constant negativity is so relatable — we all know that one colleague who just brings the vibe down, right? And your point about how our mental health can’t take the backseat anymore is super important. It’s crazy how many of us compromise our well-being just to fit into that toxic culture.

So here’s a thought: how do we actually shift that mindset among our peers? Like, what’s the best way to approach that discussion with our colleagues and maybe even management? I mean, it’s easy to say, “leave if it’s bad,” but what about those who don’t have the luxury or option to just up and go? Exploring that could really help those stuck in the same cycle! Let’s keep the convo going; it’s time we break out of the silence and challenge the status quo!
